Hailed by The Washington Post as “sweetly lyrical,” Ariel Horowitz has won prizes at the Menuhin, Grumiaux, Stulberg, and Klein International Competitions. As the founder and artistic director of The Heartbeat Project Music Education Initiative on the Navajo Reservation, Horowitz received the 2019 Yale Jefferson Award for Public Service, the From the Top Alumni Leadership Grant, and the 2017 McGraw Hill-Robert Sherman Award for Music Education and Community Outreach. She has performed as soloist with major orchestras in Europe and the USA.
