Event Details

Join Dr. Julie Anderson, curator for the Department of Ancient Sudan and Egypt at the British Museum, for an exploration of the Dangeil archeological site. Excavations at Dangeil, located close to the Nile in what is now central Sudan, have uncovered a previously unknown 1st century CE temple dedicated to the god Amun. This is one of many discoveries at Dangeil throwing new light on African history from antiquityto the medieval period and beyond. Presented in partnership with the American Research Center in Egypt.
